At SaLT: Service and Learning Together, we believe in the power of community and the positive impact we can make when we join together to support those in need. 

In partnership with the City of Highland Park and the Village of Wilmette, we invite you to participate in our latest initiative – "Take Care" Packages. This effort will help meet a very urgent, present need. 

Designed to assist migrants, who recently have been arriving via bus from Texas to Chicago suburbs while they await transfer to the Chicago Processing Center, the "Take Care" Packages will be a tangible expression of our community’s care for others. SaLT recognizes the challenges faced by those arriving in a new community, state, or country, and we aim to ease their transition by providing essential items that will promote well-being and comfort.

Each “Take Care” Package will symbolize our collective commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all.

Please join us in this meaningful endeavor by contributing to our “ Take Care” Package Drive. Your generosity can significantly impact the lives of those in need.

    • 10-15 Face Masks

    • Travel First Aid Kit

    • Package of Wipes

    • OTC Meds (Tylenol / Advil)

    • 3 Toothbrushes

    • Toothpaste

    • Lotion

    • 3 Chapsticks

    • Soap

    • Shampoo

    • Feminine Hygiene Products

  • Bottled Water and/or Reusable Bottle

  • Healthy Prepackaged Food Items

    • Bars, Fruits/Nuts, Meat/Cheese, and Trial Mix
